Katherine Neal
Miss Katherine joined WonderWorld preschool in September 2022.
Katherine graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Pacific Lutheran University in 2000 and went on to earn her Master of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University in 2004. Additionally, she has received continuing education in reading instruction and English language development from Lewis and Clark College.
Katherine worked in Forest Grove School District from 2004 – 2020, first as a substitute teacher, and later as a licensed staff member.
During her time in the district, she spent seven years teaching fourth grade and another seven years teaching first grade. Recently, Katherine has been facilitating the online education of her three children.
Eager for a new experience, Katherine has joined WonderWorld preschool as the lead teacher of both classes. She is excited to share her love of reading, learning, and discovery with her preschool students.
Jenn Hall
Miss Jenn became a member of the Wonder World preschool community in the fall of 2023. Her connection with the school runs deep, as two of her children were enrolled back in 2004. Bringing a wealth of experience, she has a background in supporting children and families with special needs through the Northwest Regional Education Service District.
Ms. Jenn received her associates in Early Childhood Education from Portland Community college followed by her Bachelors in Early Childhood Development at Southern Oregon University. She continues her Education at Portland State University in Infant/Toddler Mental Health and pursuing her MSEd for Leadership in Early Childhood Education at SOU.
As a mother of four remarkable individuals with her partner of 25 years, Ms. Jenn is a dedicated community member who has spent over two decades supporting children and families. She believes deeply in meeting children at their individual learning levels and fostering a growth mindset through a holistic approach that honors the whole child—their emotions, strengths, and unique ways of learning. These values guide her not only in her professional work but also in her personal journey with her own family.
Renee Elverud
Renee Elverud, a lifetime Forest Grove Community member, and Forest Grove School District alumni, graduated from FGHS in 2001 then Oregon State University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood Education. In 2009, Renee earned her Masters of Teaching from Pacific University.
In 2010 and with great pride, Renee accepted a teaching position in the same school district she attended K-12. To date, Renee is a certified teacher whose resume boasts of time teaching 5th grade and 2nd grade, and collateral duties including curriculum design and positive behavior support. After 10 years of teaching in public education, Renee decided to leave FGSD to seek more balance for herself and her family.
Always up for a new adventure, she has decided to continue with her passion for education and is now the new owner and director for WonderWorld Preschool of Forest Grove.
